Tribute
To The Ladies
Of Classic Country Music.
Maggie Penn, the founder of the Traditional Country Music Foundation, has recently organized an additional Tribute Show. "Tribute To The Ladies Of Classic Country." This group will be appearing at the Lyric Live Theater in Newburg MO September 10th at 7:30 pm Paying tribute to Loretta Lynn is Maggie Penn founder of the organization. Maggie recently opened a show for Johnny Moore (Jeannie C Riley's Uncle), Frankie Miller and Little David Wilkins in Anson, TX. Sandy Macke from Evansville, IL. paying tribute to Connie Smith and Shanna Frederick from Waterloo, IL. paying tribute to Patsy Cline. Shanna grew up idolizing Patsy Cline and is best known for her tribute to Cline. Shanna began entertaining crowds as one women show when she was just 16 years old traveling with her father between St Louis area venues. While Shanna will be paying tribute to Patsy Cline at this show she also entertains crowds with music we all love by other preformers. Shanna has had the pleasure of opening for such talents as Johnny Cash and Ricochet. Shanna has also performed with local bands, "Missouri's Most Wanted" and "Dixie Express." Joining this group is Shirley Kinsley Don Joy will open and MC this show. At this time others are trying to make arrangments to join us in this show. Since we have no firm commitments at this time there names are not listed. However, when we have confirmation we will add their name and background.

  "WILD ROSE MUSIC"   
featuring 
Shirley Robertson 
and the  
Wild Rose Band 
"Wild Rose Music" featuring Shirley Robertson a high school teacher and part time musician; will appear September 24, 2011 at the Lyric Live Theater, 117 First Street, Newburg Missouri. Shirley Robertson, a Missouri native is an accomplished musician in country, bluegrass, and gospel.
Many of the songs Shirley sings are from her own pen as concentrates on songs that tell a story of people and their joys and trials. Being born in the bootheal of Missouri at a time when life was a struggle for many families she tells her stories in song. The bootheal of Missouri 1920's - 1950's was a large cotton industry supported by sharecroppers and migrant workers struggling just to get by. Most of these workers found music as way to escape hard times. Shirley writes her songs from the heart.
Shirley has been bringing her music to the Phelps and neighboring counties as well as teaching music every Tuesday afternoon. Her music classes are held at the CDRNaturals Health Food Store located on the main street in Bourbon MO beginning at 4:30 and ending at 5:30. This is also one of the locations selling her CD's KWBCfm internet radio located in Hartshorn, MO and KMST 88.5 Public Radio locted in Rolla MO play her music.
